The GripFit motorcycle helmet balaclava is designed for riding in hot weather without compromising stability. Made from ice silk and featuring a silicone anti-slip insert at the forehead, it stays perfectly in place under the helmet, even at high speeds, while keeping the head cool thanks to a lightweight fabric and a breathable mesh area at the mouth and nose.
The main drawback of a balaclava under a helmet is slipping: the fabric rides up, the opening shifts, and you constantly have to readjust it with one hand. GripFit solves this problem with a wide anti-slip band at the forehead, equipped with an internal silicone insert. The result is secure support that keeps the balaclava exactly where it should be, from start to finish.
In terms of thermal comfort, the ice silk provides a cooling sensation as soon as you put it on. Ultra-light and soft like a second skin, it wicks moisture to keep you dry, even during exertion, and dries quickly. The mesh area at the mouth-nose allows air to circulate freely, preventing the common feeling of suffocation under a full-face helmet. And when you need to drink or get some air, the lower part lowers under the chin instantly, without having to remove the entire balaclava.
GripFit also protects from the sun: the fabric offers UV protection measured at UPF 50+ on the neck, face, and nape, areas particularly exposed when riding a motorcycle or bicycle.
Note on Ice Silk: Ice silk is a technical synthetic material (not natural silk). Woven from nylon and spandex fibers, it gets its name from its silky touch and cooling sensation against the skin. Lightweight and breathable, it is ideal for summer use.

The majority of our balaclavas are one-size-fits-all, as they incorporate materials such as Spandex or elastane into their composition. These stretchy fibers give them great elasticity, allowing the balaclava to easily adapt to different morphologies without compressing the face. For models requiring a choice of size, it is recommended to measure the head circumference with a tape measure. Position it about 1 cm above the ears to get the most accurate measurement and ensure a perfect fit.

Polyester. With highly absorbent fabric fibers designed against moisture, polyester textile products are reliable allies in rainy or humid weather. They are robust and tear very little. Thanks to its unique resistance, it requires little maintenance. It does not wrinkle, resists UV rays from the sun, does not fade, and does not shrink. In short, it simplifies the life of its users.

To maintain your balaclava and prolong its life, avoid using water that is too hot when washing, as this can damage the fibers. Prefer a mild detergent in small quantities, as an excess can leave residues that irritate the skin. Never use aggressive bleaching agents or detergents that may degrade the material. Also avoid washing your hood too frequently in order to preserve its thermal insulation properties. Tumble drying is prohibited, as is direct drying in the sun, which can weaken fabrics and cause discoloration. Prefer natural drying in the open air, in the shade, by laying your hood flat to avoid any deformation. If spinning is necessary, gently squeeze out the excess water without twisting to keep its shape intact.
