Also avoid washing your balaclava too frequently in order to preserve its thermal insulation properties. Tumble drying is prohibited, as is direct drying in the sun, which can weaken the fabrics and cause discolouration. Prefer natural air drying, in the shade, laying your balaclava flat to avoid any deformation. If wringing is necessary, gently squeeze out the excess water without twisting to keep its shape intact.
